As a change of pace from the usual web design related fare, Jeff Whitfield will discuss a topic that everyone has to deal with…e-mail! Based on a presentation and series of articles by Merlin Mann, Jeff will discuss better ways to deal with e-mail and how it relates to his experience as an IT manager.
Everyone knows someone who takes over two days to respond to an e-mail. Since e-mail applies to just about everyone, feel free to bring a friend, family member, co-worker, or anyone else you know who is e-mail challenged. This is a great opportunity to have other participate who are not necessarily web designers or developers.
Jeff is a web developer and designer currently working for Collabpad. He is also part of the development team for the MODx CMS project. Jeff has worked full-time for the past three years as an IT manager for a small architectural firm in Dallas.
Come early (7:00) to mingle with like-minded designers and developers, soak in a fresh presentation (7:30), and then stick around afterwards to meet up at Café Gecko (9:00).
