So You Want to be an Information Architect?

Join us on Thursday, February 7 as Three Guys on Interaction Design — a panel from Perot Systems — tackles the topic, “So You Want to be an Information Architect?”

Everyone interacts with products, but it takes a special set of skills to make those interactions enjoyable and easy to use. That’s where interaction designers come in: they define and design the ways in which people work with the final product, making its “touch points” simple to understand and intuitive in nature. So what does a good user interaction look like? And how do effective interactions improve the overall quality of a product? Come listen to how three practitioners approach interaction design and hear why this aspect of product development is critical to a satisfying user experience.

The February meeting is also a “Have a Heart for Hunger” event for the North Texas food bank. Every year, millions of pounds of food and grocery items go to waste right here in Texas. But what can the grocery industry do when the wrong vegetables are in the mix, juice is short dated, or shampoo isn’t the right color? The solution is the North Texas Food Bank. Bring a non-perishable food item or two to the meeting and help the LSC make a difference!
